At my core, I am a visual creator and storyteller.

With nearly 2 decades under my belt, and behind the camera, I have been incredibly fortunate to have carved out a career, simply doing what I love.

My path began on the streets of Baltimore, an eager photojournalist with fresh eyes, relentlessly honing his craft day after day. Hurricanes, shoot-outs, the NFL, The White House.. You name it, I was there, feeding the constant cycles of television news. But it was here, where a vigor for storytelling truly began. Working with like-minded professionals who worked tirelessly, who valued the opportunity to visually create a story was the most important experience of my career to this day. I can vividly remember covering the buildup to the 2008 presidential election; the excitement, the energy, the unrelenting anger, capturing the magnitude of the moments through a viewfinder. Reflecting on those moments helped me to understand the weight of what we do as creators, to understand its effects and its consequences.

In 2010, I made a conscious decision to hyper focus my goals. And that meant leaving a career in photojournalism behind to pursue my passion for the art of photography. I travelled the world for nearly 2 years as a freelancer, working on commercial production sets, and soon after, accepted a position as Director of Photography, with the incredible team at Horizon Productions in Durham, NC. The opportunity proved to be a vital step in the evolution of my career. My work ethic became unwavering, mastering the technical aspects of production, managing a camera department, and gaining insight into client relations and development. My resume includes work on 2 documentary films, national commercials, and countless digital productions for clients like Lenovo, IBM, Clorox, Burt’s Bees, and John Deere.

And now, my career roadmap has led to the founding of Kelli from Boston www.kellifromboston.com, where I serve as the head of production, managing all phases from conceptualization to post. We are a multi-faceted creative agency, focused on developing successful  branding campaigns, while establishing structure for growth and awareness through social and traditional forms of media. Our services cater to a broad range of clients that include political candidates, corporations, state and local governments, and non-profit organizations. We quickly gained notoriety after successfully implementing a viral marketing concept to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, which made international headlines, and was featured on every major network television outlet. We are also currently in production with the forth-coming docu-reality series, “Why We Serve”, which has opened a new chapter in the police reform conversation. Our mini-doc test pilots have been featured on every tv news outlet in Massachusetts, the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, and have led to overwhelming support from law enforcement communities nationwide.

Regardless of any credits or career accolades, the most rewarding part of this journey has always been the opportunity to create, and specifically, the opportunity to formulate new ideas that may impact change or growth. Those opportunities may lead to new legislation, it may determine whether a business succeeds or fails, it may even promote an individual’s health and happiness. Whatever it’s purpose, it’s something I take great responsibility in, and that in essence, is what drives and defines me as an artist.
